Pitching the drama.

This week I have been mostly going over The Babysitter.

I’ve been writing it over the past 18 months The babysitter story as a 6 x 60min drama for TV.  It’s now at a stage where, apart from the odd tweak here and there, I feel it’s ready to pitch for production. It’s a good story, it keeps going and I believe in the plot and the characters. I’d watch it!

Tonight, I have my first pitch meeting. This has been booked through Stage32  with studio exec Rachel Paulson.

I have about 5 minutes to thumbnail the story into a compelling hook in order to knock the socks off of someone who’ll say, “Wow Ken! That’s the best thing I’ve heard in years. Here’s tons of money for just being talented and let’s get Margot Robbie  to play the lead!”

Somehow I feel it doesn’t quite work that way… I’ll let you know how it goes.
